There’s something so incredibly special about couples maternity sessions at sunset—especially when two people are on the brink of welcoming their sweet baby into the world. These sessions always hold a soft kind of magic, and Ailee and Devin’s maternity session in Pinson, Alabama was no exception.

As a maternity photographer serving Central Alabama and the Birmingham, AL area, I truly believe location plays such a meaningful role in telling each family’s story. Ailee and Devin chose a field at their home church for their session, which made everything feel even more personal and sentimental. Why Sunset is Perfect for Maternity Photography

We planned their session around sunset (my absolute favorite time for maternity photography in Birmingham, AL), and it could not have been more perfect. The sky slowly softened into the most beautiful light pink hues, wrapping them in that dreamy glow that only an Alabama sunset can give. It complemented everything so effortlessly and felt like the sweetest backdrop to celebrate their baby girl.
