Getting to travel to Upstate New York to photograph Adrianne & Owen’s wedding was such a joy and an incredible experience! As a travel wedding photographer based in Alabama, I’m always honored when couples invite me to capture their love stories in new places. This particular wedding was one for the books — full of charm, emotion, and the beauty of a perfect New York summer day.
I flew into Rochester, New York the day before the wedding and made my way to the small town of Geneseo. I stayed at a gorgeous boutique hotel nestled right in the heart of downtown — the perfect spot to unwind and prepare for the big day ahead. The rolling hills, classic architecture, and quiet streets reminded me why I love photographing destination weddings — every place tells its own story.

The ceremony was held at the family’s home cathedral in Mount Morris, NY. It was breathtaking — tall stained glass windows, flickering candles, and soft music filled the air as guests began to arrive. One of the most memorable moments of the day was seeing the bride arrive at the church, escorted by her grandfather in his vintage Ford Bronco. It was such a touching and meaningful entrance, setting the tone for a day centered around family and tradition.

After the heartfelt ceremony, we traveled to The Barns at Conesus Golf Club for the reception. The space was perfectly decorated with elegant rustic details — soft twinkle lights, flowing greenery, and touches of summer pastels that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses and floral arrangements. Adrianne chose an array of soft pinks, blue, and orange tones for her bridesmaids, while the groomsmen wore classic black suits with matching boutonnieres. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen, creating a timeless and romantic atmosphere.

As a wedding photographer who loves to travel, I always look for ways to capture the personality of each couple through both candid moments and carefully composed portraits. Adrianne and Owen’s celebration was filled with laughter, tears, and genuine joy — the kind of day that reminds me why I adore this work. From the first dance to the heartfelt toasts, their guests celebrated with so much love and energy that the entire barn felt alive with happiness.

Later in the evening, we stepped outside for sunset portraits, and the light was absolute magic. The golden hour glow stretched across the fields, and the newlyweds looked radiant, wrapped in that warm summer light. These quiet, intimate moments — just the two of them, hand in hand — perfectly captured the essence of their day.

Being an Alabama wedding photographer available for travel, I love being able to document love stories like this one — whether it’s in the heart of the South, the mountains of Colorado, or a charming small town in New York. Every destination brings its own kind of magic, and I’m endlessly grateful for couples who trust me to tell their stories wherever their love takes them.

If you’re planning your wedding — whether it’s close to home in Alabama or a destination wedding across the country — I’d love to document your story with the same care and creativity. Traveling for love stories is one of my favorite parts of this work!
